Over 1,000 seniors rallied on the lawn of the State Capitol for the 10th annual Older Michiganians Day on May 17, 2017.  The Theme for the event was Age Out Loud!

This advocacy event is a day for older adults and professionals from the statewide aging network to celebrate our growing senior population and consider policies and budget decisions that are senior friendly.  Programming included the presentation of a Senior of the Year award as well as remarks from state policy makers.

State Senators and Representatives were invited to join their constituents on the lawn for lunch.  Thanks to House Speaker Tom Leonard and House Minority Leader Sam Singh for their remarks to the group, and for Representatives Barrett and and Roberts for joining us as well.

For more information about the issue platform or for other details about the event, please contact Tammy Lemmer from the Tri-County Office on Aging at 517-887-1382 or visit

Thanks to the 176 registered participants and dozens of volunteers for their role in making TCOA’s 4th annual Run for the Ages Walk/Run/Wheel! event on May 20, 2017 a success. The event benefits the Tri-County Office on Aging Meals on Wheels program and other in-home services that help promote and preserve the independence and dignity of older adults.

2016 Dinner and Auction

The Tri-County Office on Aging 31st Annual Dinner and Auction a Success!

The annual Dinner and Auction is TCOA’s largest fundraising event of the year, with 100% of the proceeds designated to support the Meals on Wheels (MOW) program and other in-home supports for older adults. With over 15,000 people accessing our programs and services each year, these programs make a significant, positive difference and serve some of the area’s most vulnerable individuals.

The Tri-County Office on Aging would like to thank the sponsors of our 31st Annual Dinner & Auction. The event raised over $59,000 in net proceeds for Meals on Wheels and other in-home services for seniors and persons with disabilities in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties. The support of local businesses and individuals through sponsorships, donation of auction items, selling and buying raffle tickets, and of course attendance at the event are all greatly appreciated and critical to the success of this event.
