Programs

1. Taking Control of Your Medications and Supplements : Presentation includes how to properly store, common mistakes in taking medications, supplements, and vitamins and how to prevent side effects or interactions.

2. Reading and Understanding Your Medications: Labels and Patient Information : Every medication, prescription and over the counter, has a label that provides usage, side effects, precautions, drug interaction and storage directions. Learn how to understand this information.

3. Are You a Fall Waiting to Happen? The fear of falling and the number of injuries from falls is a big health concern for older adults. The presentation will cover medications, equipment and prevention techniques to decrease your risk of a fall.

4. Are You and Your Doctor on the Same Page? Presentation addresses how to communicate with your doctor and receive better medical care.

5. Better Bones, Brighter Futures : Presentation is on osteoporosis prevention. Topics covered include risks, calcium intake, testing and treatment. Developed by Michigan Public Health Institute and Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals: A Partnership for Better Bones.

6 . Arthritis: It's All About Joints : Information on several common forms of arthritis and treatment strategies.

7. Diabetes, Understanding Leads to Control : What is diabetes, treatment strategies and management.

8. How's Your Circulation? Presentation included information about heart and stroke attacks, cholesterol and other risk factors and cardiovascular disease medications.

9. When Breathing Isn't Easy : Information on common respiratory problems such as COPD and asthma. Covers medications and avoiding triggers to breathing problems.
